Day 8: Guided Tour
Today was an amazingly beautiful day. Even though it started out rather dreary and rainy, it turned out to be quite beautiful. Based on suggestions from Google, we hired a tour company to take us to the Cape of Good Hope, Boulder Beach, Simon Town, Chapman's Peak and two wineries. Yes, the day was as jam-packed as it sounds. We were picked up at 8AM and dropped off at 6PM. Our guide, Marlene Bell, was amazing. On top of being very sweet and knowledgable, what I liked best was that whenever you asked her to repeat something, she gave even more information. That is, she didn't have just a standard spiel. She knew her stuff and enjoyed sharing it. I meant to get a picture with her, but after two wine tastings, I can't be expected to remember everything. We saw flora and fauna and truly amazing views. How about if I just let the pictures speak for themselves?
